Business Continuity Policy

How we plan for disasters.

Last updated: July 23, 2025

1. Scope

This policy applies to all critical business operations conducted by Glitch Servers, including infrastructure management, customer support, platform availability, and internal systems. It governs the actions taken to ensure operational resilience and continuity of service in the event of an incident or disruption.

2. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish a framework for maintaining essential business functions during and after a disruptive event. This includes natural disasters, hardware failures, cyber incidents, or any other events that could compromise the ability of Glitch Servers to deliver services. The policy ensures that continuity planning is embedded into operational procedures to minimise customer impact.

3. Definitions

4. Operational Resilience

Glitch Servers is designed with operational flexibility at its core. All management systems and administrative tools are accessible remotely, allowing full service control from any location with secure access. The Company is not dependent on a physical office or specific geographic site for service delivery.

5. System Redundancy and Hosting Architecture

Where possible, core services such as the client area (WHMCS), control panels, and monitoring tools are hosted externally from the Company's primary infrastructure. This ensures that customer access to essential tools continues even during a localised infrastructure failure. Backup copies of control panels and website data are stored securely off-site and tested regularly for integrity.

6. Backup and Disaster Recovery

Daily backups of VPS and web hosting environments are performed and stored at off-site locations as part of our operational resilience measures. Critical configuration data is also included in these backups. In the event of a catastrophic failure, services can be restored using alternative hosting providers with whom Glitch Servers maintains standing arrangements.

These backups are maintained for disaster recovery purposes and are provided as a convenience only. Customers remain fully responsible for maintaining their own independent backups. Glitch Servers is not liable for data loss under any circumstances, including where company-managed backups are unavailable or incomplete.

7. Emergency Communications

If a major incident occurs, the Company will communicate with customers using the following channels:

These notifications will include the nature of the incident, estimated time to resolution, and any recommended customer actions.

8. Monitoring and Response

Systems are actively monitored for performance, uptime, and security anomalies. If a disruption or breach is detected, response procedures are triggered immediately. Failed login attempts and infrastructure alerts are routed to senior staff for review and mitigation.

9. Alternative Hosting and Failover

In the event that a primary data centre becomes unavailable, the Company maintains agreements with alternative dedicated server providers to enable fast deployment of replacement services. This includes the ability to provision new infrastructure in parallel to minimise customer downtime.

10. Review and Testing

The business continuity plan is reviewed annually or following any major service disruption. Restoration procedures and backups are tested regularly to confirm they meet current performance and security expectations. All tests and incidents are logged for audit and continuous improvement.
