Our Origin Story

Why We Started Glitch Servers

We were tired of seeing "game servers" sold on generic, recycled enterprise hardware that was never built for gaming in the first place.

Lots of big name enterprise hosting providers selling hosting on generic and old equipment - not really suitable for what we were looking for.

Then when we started looking at smaller hosts we realised many pop-up hosting providers were appearing with rented servers and no real idea how to run a hosting company. Didn't reply to tickets, didn't have answers for mildly technical support questions. The result? Slow, unreliable services and poor customer support.

Glitch Servers was founded on a simple principle: hosting should be transparent, reliable, and built for the people who actually use it. Too many providers in the UK market were taking shortcuts, reselling hardware they didn't own, and offering support from teams who had never configured a server themselves. We decided to do things properly from day one. If we don't have stock of a machine it's just marked as out of stock - we don't sell and then keep you waiting around for us to provision new hardware.

Our approach starts with ownership. We purchase, configure, and deploy every piece of hardware ourselves. This means when you contact support, you're speaking to engineers who have physically touched the equipment your services run on. We know exactly what's inside each server, how it's configured, and how to get the most out of it. There's no guessing, no waiting for upstream providers, and no passing the buck when something needs fixing.

Performance comes from careful hardware selection and modern infrastructure. While many providers still rely on older enterprise gear that was never designed for modern hosting, we build our systems around high-frequency AMD Ryzen processors and fast NVMe storage. This gives you consistently low latency whether you're running game servers, web applications, or VPS instances. We maintain our own network with multiple upstream carriers and direct peering at LINX and LONAP, ensuring your traffic takes the fastest possible path to end users - and yes, this is what helps cut your latency and ping numbers down.

UK-based support means real people who understand hosting and care about keeping your services online. We're usually available around the clock and always during business hours - not through outsourced ticket systems, but with actual engineers who can diagnose issues and implement solutions quickly. Our infrastructure includes enterprise DDoS protection and off-site backups as standard, because reliability is fundamental to everything we do. When you choose Glitch Servers, you're choosing a hosting partner that owns its infrastructure, understands its systems, and puts your uptime first.
